We support climate entrepreneurs with equity free funding, training and a global network, accelerating their business with improved success rates and bigger impact.
Our Nordic Accelerator programme offers a rapid development of a start-up for maximum business potential and climate impact. In three stages, our 18-month programme brings climate entrepreneurs the knowledge, resources, tools and the mentoring they need to build a successful company.
UPDATE JANUARY 2021
The Nordic Accelerator program will be merged into one joint European Accelerator Program under the EIT Climate-KIC organisation. The new accelerator program is still under development, but it is expected to open for calls in Spring 2021. More information will be provided on the EIT Climate-KIC Entrepreneurship Website when the new accelerator program will be launched.
Accelerator Program Outline
The first, 4 month-long stage with funding up to 10,000€ helps early-stage start-ups refine and develop their specific unique selling point and business model. The first prototypes can be tested to obtain industry feedback. We offer a two-day boot camp, one-on-one mentoring, workshops and exposure to our network and events. Are you ready to get going?
In the second, 4 month-long stage with additional funding up to 25,000€, start-ups move with a well-formulated business model to real customers. They dial in on solving a real problem by talking to customers and continuously developing their business plans. They create a mock up investor presentation and rethink their market of choice. This stage includes support from experts, mentors during workshops and various activities.
The final, 6-9 month-long stage with additional funding up to 40,000€, prepares businesses for a future of investment rounds and scaling. We coach start-ups for negotiations and expose them to our network of investors and partners. Our start-ups are ready to pitch their business cases to investors or launch it to customers. We offer workshops on valuation, investor strategy, financial structuring, deal making and strategic partnering.
