EIT Climate-KIC Celebrating Label Graduates from Across Europe

The EIT Climate-KIC Education team had the pleasure of celebrating new Master and PhD Label Graduates at a graduation ceremony held on Saturday 19 January in Amsterdam. The purpose of the event was to bring together and celebrate EIT Climate-KIC Label Graduates from all across Europe.

Celebrating the New Graduates

A total of 18 Nordic Master Label and five Nordic PhD Label students graduated in 2018. Five of the Nordic graduates and around 40 graduates from around Europe attended the event in Amsterdam, where they were celebrated by the education team and Kirsten Dunlop, Chief Executive Officer of EIT Climate-KIC. The graduation ceremony was held at Café De Ceuvel, a café that has a strong focus on sustainability and sustainable technologies across its operation. In addition to the ceremony, the graduates had the chance to participate in a lecture on Sustainable Food Systems, partake in a tour around the Café de Ceuvel premises as well as engage in a Circular Cooking Challenge by Piece of Plate.

The Master Label Programme

The EIT Climate-KIC Master Label Programme offers a unique arena for students to deepen and develop their knowledge, gain credibility and develop their business opportunities within climate change and adaptation. The programme adds extra value to selected master degree programmes at partner universities and graduates are awarded with a Climate-KIC certificate in addition to the their regular degree.  As an EIT Climate-KIC Master Label graduate, you become part of an unprecedented, active and influential network of entrepreneurs, businesses, regional governments and academic institutions where you are able to explore and realise your own vision for climate change.
